Dans l'une des plus belles grottes de France, creusée dans les calcaires du Jurassique, l'artiste a réalisé une performance inédite et captivante.
Entre le Gard et l'Ardèche, au coeur des Cévennes, la grotte de la Cocalière a invité Erwin Dazelle, accompagné de France 3 pour immortaliser l'instant. Il y a peint deux oeuvres avec le challenge de reproduire, à l'aide d'argile du fond de la grotte étalé sur des toiles, les irrégularités des parois afin d'y déceler les lignes et détails des animaux préhistoriques qui s'en détâchaient comme le faisaient nos ancêtres, et ensuite les réhausser pour les mettre en avant.
Cette technique est basée sur la "paréidolie".

Between the Gard and the Ardèche, in the heart of the Cévennes, the cave of Cocalière invited Erwin Dazelle, accompanied by France 3 to immortalize the moment. He painted two works with the challenge of reproducing, using clay from the bottom of the cave spread out on canvas, the irregularities of the walls in order to detect the lines and details of the animals who detached themselves from them as our ancestors did, and then raised them to bring them to the forefront.
This technique is based on "pareidolia".
